DENIM SHIRTS- HOW DO YOU WEAR YOURS?

A versatile piece that can never go wrong, the Denim Shirt has resurrected from the ashes again . The celebs weren’t far from trying their hands on the trend and we love how they decided to wear their denim shirts! Need more insight on the same? Here’s how you can wear it this summer:

Style Tip 1: Wear your denim separates together for a head to toe denim look. For instance, team up a dark wash skinny jean with a light & faded denim shirt. Tuck it in with a black or a metallic belt or a chunkyneckpiece to wear it in a casual way.

Style Tip 2: Dressing up or down, denims can work wonders both ways. Team a denim shirt with a skirt . Add some metallic jewellery/accessories to rock a denim-look at night.

Style Tip 3: Roll up your denim shirt sleeves for an extra dose of casual chic!

Style Tip 4: Use your denim shirts for layering!! Wear it button-open with a spaghetti tee and stay comfortable all day under the hot summer sun.

Style Tip 5: Shorts, cut-offs, mini skirts – all in soft denim! We Love! We Want! You can add them to your wardrobe collection in a second

The one with the long hair....!!

“You should dress up like a girl”, she said for the nth time as I stood in my shorts and Tee, trying very hard not to roll my eyes.
“I AM a girl; I have long hair”, I concluded. Well that part was true,I did have long hair!
“Try looking like one sometimes”,she mocked, brandishing the eye-liner in her hand like a weapon of mass destruction.
“Come, lets try it on you”.
Uh-oh. Now this couldn’t be good.Let me be clear.I have nothing against eye-liners or nail paints(including the fact that several times I can’t tell them apart and consequences follow.) like this one time when I very confidently put a “different black lipstick”, only to find out that it was a kohl stick! Needless to say, I had to roam around with a slightly “different “ lip color for the next two days. Hence my experiences(I have had several) put me in a phobia of cosmetics. So “ lets try it on you” kind of kills. However unable to find a feasible way to run or the voice to protest, I sat down. After about  an eternity of “dont shake”s and “stay still”s, I was left sitting there, waiting for the crap to dry. Now the thing with patience is that it lives a short life, especially in this story, and so when I opened my eyes, I looked straight out of a Ramsay horror film. No amount of rubbing takes that off your face, let me tell you. Only after I turned my face into the likes of a “dhobi ghaat” did I manage to look a little normal. And hence a resolution was derived: STAY AWAY FROM THE MUCK.
Having  had that experience, anyone would have killed the make up artist or tossed. But I thought “what the hell”, n hence the next part. Now let me enlighten the less informed  of you about short dresses:
1)      1)They make you look good(depending  still)
2)      2) If you stand under a fan, you become a living replica of Marlyn Monroe(not the good parts)
3)      3) Don’t even think about jumping
4)      4) You have no option but to be at your “lady-like” best!
So when on a very unfortunate day I wore something of the kind, 2),3) & 4) happened. About 1), I cant say nothing. Well I tried, but its difficult to be ladylike, and hence  very conveniently and less than 8 hours later, I was back to my shorts clad jumping stairs self. As far as “looking like a girl” is concerned, well, I DO have long hair!!

The Untitled One!

Hello People!
It's really been a really long time I have not written a proper post.
I don't know what has got into me.
Seriously I have so many thoughts in my mind and as soon as I am ready to talk or write I am not able to find the right words to express myself.
This is not me!
Well... Let's just chuck this all out.
Recently I read this book suggested by a very wise funny and MATURE guy I know. Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.
This book really made me think about a lot of things in life and different kinds of people and their emotions...Like seriously
I love the way the book begins, with Murakami writing about how hard it is to write about one’s most intense memories.  This is something I really identify with.  How an instance twenty years ago can stay in your head like it was yesterday; how you remember certain strange details, like a song playing or the weather or something you ate, but then can’t remember the faces of people who were important to you.  I’ve tried to write some of my own memories and I couldn’t put it better than Murakami does. It’s just so hard to do that at least for me.
I liked how Murakami, while concentrating on big emotions of love, life, loss, and disconnectedness, he really pays a lot of attention to the small details of daily life, like bus routes and part-time jobs.  I could literally be in the story. I’ve never been to Japan, but Murakami’s vivid description made me feel I was there. This is a moving story about love and friendship and first relationships
Oh I have written so much about the book but I would really want to all to read it if you haven’t.
So, coming back to the post.
Let the pictures to the talking.
P.S I love this colour which I am wearing!

Love baggy Clothes.......

Hello People,
As a girl who is tall and thin, I find baggy and boxy clothes intimidating. I love the way a boxy shirt looks on the model in the photo, but I wonder if it’ll look wonky on my own body.  Sure, I think that dresses with a shape look better on my body type.
Sorry, rant over, back to baggy clothes. Lately, I’ve seen flowy and shapeless clothing that looks good on literally any body type–from the ultra skinny, to plus sized and proud–and I’m so excited about it. It’s time to take the plunge and check out clothes that honestly can be styled awesomely no matter what kind of body type you have. So here is this Tailored shirt oversized which I love; with leggings..and a pretty ncie head piece and my favorite footwear...
So let the pictures do the talking....

Love thy Clothes......

Hello people...

Then add your own personality to the look. Proportions are key when it comes to dressing up. As Gabrielle Chanel once said, “Fashion is architecture. It’s all about proportions.” So go out there and get inspired but get your proportions right! [More on proportions coming up soon.

You will realize that you can create multiple looks with the same basic clothes that you have if you mix and match. It will make dressing up more fun and you will not have to keep spending on new clothes all the time and you won’t get bored with what you have either.
Be creative,

ART OF MANLINESS....What to wear on First Date!

Hello People!
This post is for men out there who are confused in choosing what to wear on their first date.
Whether you like it or not, women will notice the clothes you wear—so keep these tips in mind to make a fantastic first impression. From a women's perception! And it will help you guys like really; Trust me on this!

Let's face it: Women love clothes. Why else are they constantly shopping and complimenting their girlfriends on that incredible new top or pair of pumps? And while you may be wondering, “What does this have to do with me?” I’ll tell you: More and more, women are expecting, even demanding, that the men they date look more like the “after” images on Femina or Cosmo than the “before.” In other words, showing up at a swanky martini bar in your college hoodie and lucky sneakers may make that first date your last.
So, Just keep these simple tips in mind to show women you do indeed have a clue when it comes to style.

#Tip 1.A little color goes a long way
Unless you're heading out to meet a Goth chick, dressing all in black is a bit morose. "And don't wear beige,"  "Neutral colors are boring." On the other end of the spectrum, too much flash could be a glaring distraction, so don't try to stand out with a hot pink t-shirt, fire engine red sweater, or shirt with a logo. A jewel tone (maroon, forest green, cobalt blue) sweater over a white dress shirt will make an attractive, not-too-staid but not-too-flashy statement.

Khakis may seem like the perfect first-date standby, but experts adamantly stress men should avoid khakis—they just aren’t sexy.
But we have tried here, and trust me if worn correctly they look hot!!

#Tip 2.Add a style statement
http://images.match.com/match/s.gifhttp://images.match.com/match/s.gifWomen, as you well know, would love someone with at least a decent fashion sense. So its better to add on a little edge to you look by adding some cool shades or suspenders or a hat even, Trust me it will definitely give you +50 automatically.

Tip #3: Pay attention to your footwear
Women, as you well know, are shoe-obsessed, and will immediately take note of what you’ve decided to step into this evening. The good news: Barring “work shoes” like wingtips or cap toes, any footwear (even sneakers) can look fine, especially with jeans. Boots are also appropriate. Now, the bad news: You’d better make sure shoes look spankin’ great. Polish them, remove any scuffmarks or crud that’s collected on the sides and bottom. A man who maintains his shoes can be trusted to be detail-oriented in other areas of his life, from his apartment to a relationship.

"A man who maintains his shoes can be trusted to be detail-oriented in other areas of his life, from his apartment to a relationship."

Tip #4: Don’t forget the detailshttp://images.match.com/match/s.gif
Shirt, check, jeans, check, shoes, check...think you’re in the clear? Not quite, Paying attention to the particulars is what will really convince a gal you’re a cut above average. "What you wear should speak to your individuality, If you're wearing a shirt with French cuffs, wear interesting cuff-links." And don't overlook your socks. White gym socks belong at the gym, Anything with a pattern can be fun. Look for something with a design, like hearts or diamonds. "If he can pull the right socks off, he's a winner."

 Tip #5: Minimize scent
There's nothing worse than going up to your date and being engulfed in a cloud of cologne, aftershave, or body spray. Most guys overdo their application of scent, so make sure that you don't make that mistake! Your date will thank you and so will anyone in your vicinity.
If you're going to wear cologne or body spray, make sure you follow the rule less is more. For cologne, 2 pumps should be sufficient; for body spray, no more than 3. You want to smell nice, but not overwhelming. Keep in mind that your nose will get used to the scent and eventually stop telling your brain about it. Just because you can't smell anymore doesn't mean your date can't.

Confidence begins with the layer closest to you!
It is important how you "feel" in your clothes (comfortable, confident and sexy or fidgety and uncomfortable).  Showcasing the latest collection from Tommy John men's underwear which will make you feel confident and sexy.

And for the girls out there!!!!
It’s easy to see why stylish girls who love a billowing boxy top or “ugly” sandals might have a hard time dressing for a date. The question is a tough one: How does one remain true to their fashion sense without completely horrifying their suitor?
So let the pictures do the talking......

.
I hope you guys liked it and it was a help for you all to dress up for the First date.
