HOUNDSTOOTH HUNTING!

Early morning I log onto Pinterest and a beautiful swing coat from Michael Kors’ SS13 collectioncatches my attention. The MK robust houndstooth was monochrome and blown up to giant proportions on a chic ’60s coat. And, I went Houndstooth Hunting  straight till lunch time.

Houndstooth, also known as dog tooth pattern, has been every Designer’s classic favourite. It is a duo-tone textile pattern characterized by broken checks or abstract four-pointed shapes, often in black and white, although other colours are used. No matter what season it is, or what trends ruled the ramps last time, houndstooth print is a must-have for your wardrobe and you can swear by it all year round. And, this print is so adaptable that you can embrace it not just through your wardrobe but more than that. Scroll down to know what I mean.
1. Layer up chic in a houndstooth jacket or go sensuously elite in a laced up shirt:

2. Accessorize Hound-Style:

3. Play With Trendy Separates:

4. Think Handbags, Clutches, Sling Bags and even Luggages

5. Pumps, Bikini Or Boots?

SUSPENDED and FREE!!

Few days back I have got these pretty cool suspenders, which I was lusting for literally! So I got them for a very reasonable price! Yay!! :D

Suspenders probably don’t pop out at you as the most trendy item nowadays, but how great of a fashion opportunity does this present? After all, it’s always fun to rock something unexpected and try a new look!

When worn correctly, suspenders can give you a chic, androgynous look with a bit of a retro vibe. So why not pick up a pair to play with and learn how to style them?
·         Add them to a pair of shorts. Suspenders look cool when attached to a pair of shorts and worn with a comfy t-shirt or tank top. Bonus points if your shorts are high-waisted or nautical!
·         Try them with a skirt. This is the perfect way to give a basic skirt-and t-shirt combo a nice vintage flair. Just don’t let your outfit get too busy — one pattern and two solid colors will look just right.
·         Jeans work well with suspenders, too.

·         Jumpers can give you the same look as suspenders, but you don’t have to worry about buying a new pair or dealing with matching them to a pair of shorts.

·         Wear with confidence. This is a bold look, so don’t you dare leave the house without a huge smile on your face!

I really had fun during the shoot!
ENJOY !

Stay tuned for more!

D.I.Y SPECIAL

Gem Push Pins

Every now and then a craft project falls into my inbox and I’m blown away by how the simplest ideas are often the best. This clever plaster push pin project comes from blogger Mandy Pellegrin of Fabric Paper Glue. She was kind enough to share it here with us today.
Sure, Pinterest has revolutionized the way we keep tabs on our sources of inspiration, but if we’re honest, nothing can really replace a good old-fashioned bulletin board. They’re not only home to our favorite glossy clippings; they can also be a place to stow and display the items that represent so much more than the visual stimulation afforded on our computer screens — a place to keep the tactile textures of our favorite fabrics, little reminders of life’s events, or sweet handwritten notes. So, why not give these items the presentation they deserve by using pushpins with a little design flair? With this DIY, you’re three steps (four, if you’re ambitious) and about 15 active minutes away from a truly unique set of gem-shaped pushpins.

MATERIALS:
plaster
gem-shaped candy mold
pushpins
disposable cup and spoon
craft paints and sponge brush (optional)

Directions:
1. Mix plaster according to the directions in a disposable cup. Using a disposable spoon, fill each mold with plaster.

2. A s the plaster begins to become rigid (about 5 minutes), submerge the end of a pushpin in the middle of each mold.

3. Once fully dry (about 30-45 minutes), pop the gems out of their molds.

4. Give the gems a coat of paint in the color of your choice. Or, easier still, leave them the lovely matte white of the plaster.

Give it a try!

Short? Fat? DOES NOT MATTER! You can look amazing in your MAXI DRESS !

Your Height and Weight does not matter! You can still look amazing in your Maxi dress.

The maxi dress is always on TREND!
The maxi dress has gone from being hippy chick holiday wear to being a summer staple.
Let's be honest, ladies love it because you can look like you're embracing fashion without shaving your legs.

But just because it covers a multitude of sins, it still needs a bit of consideration because there are pitfalls aplenty.
It might seem like a casual look, but you still need to think about how the dress fits and what underwear you're going to wear with it.
If your bra straps are going to be on show, make sure they're pretty.
If you've got adjustable straps on the dress, make sure they're taut or put in a stitch or two - to ensure you don't look like you've wandered off a beach.
But the biggest danger is that by swathing yourself in acres of material you can end up looking like you're wearing a tent.
Give your body some shape by opting for a style that gives you a defined waist.
Alternatively, use a belt to cinch things in or add a jacket to give you a more defined silhouette. Finally, team with flats or wedges - spindly shoes.
