Scarves can be paired with a skirt, jeans, or nicedress pants. That's another good thing about scarves; they can be dressed up or down.

CASUAL CHRISTMAS!

FASHION CRIME OR NOT, DOUBLE DENIM IS BACK. HERE'S HOW TO WEAR IT!!

Here's a thing with fashion it changes all the time.So I wasn't surprised when DENIM suddenly became the most coolest thing since slice of bread. Whether your shooting the breeze with your boys or attending a rock gig, a straight legged version will keep you comfortable not to mention eliminate the problem of spoiled hem. Add a dash of polish to what's essentially a casual look with leather boat shoes, gladiators, but avoid run down trainers.
Double denim is back and bigger than ever. But is the tricky trend still a fashion crime?

STYLE TIPS
  • Break up the heaviness of the look with something light and feminine: the strap of a fabulous cross-body bag, a gorgeous pair of drop earrings, or a sexy lace bra strap or wear the shirt open with an extra button undone to show off a bit more skin or a glimpse of a pretty lace camisole
  • Roll up your sleeves and bare wrists with a bracelet or two, or a statement cocktail ring
  • No cowboy boots PLEASE! Keep feet semi-naked in ballet pumps or a pretty flat sandals
  • If you opt for a more tailored dark denim, pair of slim leg jeans then of course wear some sexy heels
  • If you must wear a belt do so, but its best to wear without to project a certain insouciance
  • If you choose to contrast the colours, a darker-hued denim worn on the bottom half will be more slimming.
  • Beware wearing a too-pale chambray shirt as you will appear too washed out – unless, of course, you are blessed with a wonderful olive complexion.

THE HOT NEW TREND THAT WON'T COST A THING!

Whats on-trend, anyone can do it and its free?

If it's good enough for Marilyn it's good enough for EVERYONE. Source: Pinterest

IT is well known that most fashion trends filter up from the street. Designers pick up on the idea or concept, work it, refine it and then send it down the runway. Then the fashion press convey that message to their readers, convincing us all that to be on-trend we “must have this or just gotta have that.

But one of the biggest trends to emerge from the shows this season wont cost you a thing. And the fashion editors are to thank for that. After several designers sent models down the runway wearing coats across their shoulders, those front-row fashionistas embraced the look immediately.

On the street during Paris Fashion Week A/W 2013. Pictures: Pinterest
It’s as simple as draping your coat or jacket across your shoulders. Italso good for you as it forces you to stand properly, with your shoulders back.  But best of all – it's free.

An instant style updater, yes. But it’s not new. It’s been around for years – Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Onassis and Audrey Hepburn have all it done it with their coats and cardigans. That’s all I need, and so do you.

LOOK OF THE DAY!

The Best Thing About Fall: Cozy Chunky Knits

Chunky knits are here to stay. From Shetland  varieties to boyfriend and grandpa cardigans, a big knit stitch is the mark of cool, casual autumn/winter dressing. Of course, if you've adopted this trend or are thinking about it, you've got to consider your styling. How to pull off chunky knits without affecting their namesake? How to stay chic?
It's simple, really. Pair these cozy, ultra warm sweaters with your skinny jeans and bodycon bottoms. I love the idea of donning opaque tights, a simple cotton stretch pencil skirt, maybe a pair of OTK boots and then topping it off with a chunky sweater. Chill on the top, sexy on the bottom, it's the perfect "I care, but not too much" type of look. For the days when heels and tights aren't really your thing, the big sweater in your closet will be ideal to wear with faded skinnies and sneaks. A perfect combination for afternoon flea market perusing or meeting a friend for tea.

SUSPENDED and FREE!!

Few days back I have got these pretty cool suspenders, which I was lusting for literally! So I got them for a very reasonable price! Yay!! :D

Suspenders probably don’t pop out at you as the most trendy item nowadays, but how great of a fashion opportunity does this present? After all, it’s always fun to rock something unexpected and try a new look!

When worn correctly, suspenders can give you a chic, androgynous look with a bit of a retro vibe. So why not pick up a pair to play with and learn how to style them?
·         Add them to a pair of shorts. Suspenders look cool when attached to a pair of shorts and worn with a comfy t-shirt or tank top. Bonus points if your shorts are high-waisted or nautical!
·         Try them with a skirt. This is the perfect way to give a basic skirt-and t-shirt combo a nice vintage flair. Just don’t let your outfit get too busy — one pattern and two solid colors will look just right.
·         Jeans work well with suspenders, too.

·         Jumpers can give you the same look as suspenders, but you don’t have to worry about buying a new pair or dealing with matching them to a pair of shorts.

·         Wear with confidence. This is a bold look, so don’t you dare leave the house without a huge smile on your face!

I really had fun during the shoot!
ENJOY !

7 most SURPRISING fashion trends you probably didn't know about!!

I know that I’m not the most fashionable person to ever walk the face of the Earth, but lately I’m seeing a lot of surprising fashion trends. Some things I would have never thought would be cool are either coming back or coming into the lime light for the first time. These are the 7 most surprising fashion trends you probably didn’t know about either!

1. SEE THROUGH PLASTIC PURSES
That’s right, designers everywhere are starting to put out see through plastic purses and people are buying them up! A few of them are actually kind of cute but my biggest question about these purses is: where do you hide your tampons from prying eyes when everyone can see into your purse?
2. TEAL EYELINER
I personally think teal eyeliner is pretty cool. It makes your eyes pop and it draws a lot of attention! I’ve actually started to use teal and bronze together and it looks really cool! I think that this is a perfect way to change up your makeup for the summertime without having to do too much. And, it’s a perfect daytime beachy color when you want to look casual all day under your sunhat.

 3. 3D PRINTER ACCESSORIES

That’s right, 3D printers aren’t just for making guns anymore. Now you can use them to print up your own necklaces, rings, and even one of those see through plastic purses. But, if you have enough money to buy a 3D printer (a pretty high ticket item) I think you can probably afford to buy your own accessories, pre-made and everything. But, this does take making your own jewelry to a whole new level.
4. TEXTURED NAIL POLISH
This is also a pretty cool trend but I’m a little bit on the fence about it. On one hand, I grew up thinking anything on your nails that wasn’t smooth was an imperfection. On the other hand, fuzzy nails are so cool, I just want to keep painting my nails that way. Glitter nails are a thing of the past now
5. JEAN VESTS
Yes, jean vests. Kind of like denim jackets with the sleeves removed. People are wearing them with floral skirts and oversized tees, maxi dresses, mini dresses, everything under the sun. I think they can be very cute when worn right but I still feel a little bit like a Levi cowboy when I wear them with jean shorts. If you try this one out be very careful not to overdo the denim!
6. BRIGHT, CLEAN LINED SATCHELS
Tiny clutch purses are out and crisp, clean satchels in bright colors are in. I LOVE this trend! I need a bag with a little more heft that can hold more than just a breath mint. I love how summery these look and that I can use them with anything from a work outfit to a bikini cover on the beach. I am so excited that slouchy big bags are out! (Who can really find anything in the million folds that those bags seem to have?:)
7. MENSWEAR FOR WOMEN
The boyfriend look is back in! That’s very exciting to me since I love the look of rolled boyfriend cut jeans with over sized tees! It’s so cute without looking sloppy. But now, we’re adding vests and trousers to our menswear for women repertoire.
Well ladies these were the fashion trends that surprised me. What trends do you find surprising? Let me know down below!

The Corporate Look with Arjun Rampal!

Apart from the fact that the movie, Inkaar, is about urban office politics and relationships, what totally made my watch worthwhile was the gradual transformation of Chitrangada Singh from college to corporate chic and Arjun Rampal’s effortless way to suave and style. I was smitten by the male protagonist’s corporate fashion and his effortless way of carrying his semi formal (at times) and formal style. I am pretty sure a lot of you would love to inculcate some of that to your personal style and wardrobe. Women, why don’t you suggest some of these tips to your man. So, here it goes, your way to a chic corporate look -

Instead of buying a thousand unique styles, I always suggest everyone to buy classic pieces. Investing in a classic piece would mean, you get yourself a style that is not leaving the fashion place for a long time, and you end up saving a lot of money in the long run; probably that’s why we call such fashion “timeless”.

What all to invest in?

1. Get A Crisp White Shirt: If you ask me, a white shirt is one of the most versatile pieces in a man’s wardrobe. Depending on what you pair it with, it’s purpose changes, from corporate to formal gathering. You can also go for other basic colors like black, light blue and grey.

2. Tailored Blazers: Like I said earlier, it’s always better to invest in classic pieces than spend your hard earned money on styles that promise no guarantee to last. Blazers in shades of grey and black go well with almost any color of shirt.

3. Formal Shoes: Pick up a pair of finely tailored Oxford cut formal shoes, and you will never repent your buy.

In addition to these classic pieces, you can also buy a pair of semi-formal denims (without any tear and wear, save those for your wild boy’s night outs) and formal trousers to complete the look. Leave the tie behind and pick up a pair of dark colored wayfarers to look one step closer to Arjun Rampal.
Go and grab some amazing deals on Men’s clothing and get yourself and your wardrobe an update on style!!!

Till then stay tuned for more!
