MEN'S FASHION

The Men's  Fashion...!!

ANDAZ (1949) This one harks back to a time when girls were ladies, boys were gentlemen and a good suit was indispensable. A suave Dilip Kumar and a well-dressed Raj Kapoor perfectly complement the gorgeous Nargis, their shared love interest.

JEWEL THIEF (1967) The look for this film was defined by sharp suits, checked shirts, boutonnieres and a houndstooth hat. Add to that Dev Anand’s languid saunter, his trademark sideways glance and flirtatious smile, and this slick crime thriller almost turns into a homage to James Bond.

BOBBY (1973) Sharp blazers, striped ties, a leather jacket and skinny turtlenecks – Rishi Kapoor is all pedigreed polish in this iconic film. There’s a reason we’re not mentioning a young Dimple Kapadia – that could take up an entire issue.

DON (1978) Don is the ultimate fashion reference point for the Seventies, with its wide-lapel three-piece suits, flared trousers, a bow tie or two and yellow-tinted sunglasses – pulled off in a way only Amitabh Bachchan could manage. In comparison, the 2006 remake of the film doesn’t quite cut it.

PARINEETA (2005) A crisp kurta with an embroidered shawl draped over one shoulder – worn as only a Nawab could. This period film is restrained elegance at its best.

SUSPENDED and FREE!!

Few days back I have got these pretty cool suspenders, which I was lusting for literally! So I got them for a very reasonable price! Yay!! :D

Suspenders probably don’t pop out at you as the most trendy item nowadays, but how great of a fashion opportunity does this present? After all, it’s always fun to rock something unexpected and try a new look!

When worn correctly, suspenders can give you a chic, androgynous look with a bit of a retro vibe. So why not pick up a pair to play with and learn how to style them?
·         Add them to a pair of shorts. Suspenders look cool when attached to a pair of shorts and worn with a comfy t-shirt or tank top. Bonus points if your shorts are high-waisted or nautical!
·         Try them with a skirt. This is the perfect way to give a basic skirt-and t-shirt combo a nice vintage flair. Just don’t let your outfit get too busy — one pattern and two solid colors will look just right.
·         Jeans work well with suspenders, too.

·         Jumpers can give you the same look as suspenders, but you don’t have to worry about buying a new pair or dealing with matching them to a pair of shorts.

·         Wear with confidence. This is a bold look, so don’t you dare leave the house without a huge smile on your face!

I really had fun during the shoot!
ENJOY !

Stay tuned for more!

The Corporate Look with Arjun Rampal!

Apart from the fact that the movie, Inkaar, is about urban office politics and relationships, what totally made my watch worthwhile was the gradual transformation of Chitrangada Singh from college to corporate chic and Arjun Rampal’s effortless way to suave and style. I was smitten by the male protagonist’s corporate fashion and his effortless way of carrying his semi formal (at times) and formal style. I am pretty sure a lot of you would love to inculcate some of that to your personal style and wardrobe. Women, why don’t you suggest some of these tips to your man. So, here it goes, your way to a chic corporate look -

Instead of buying a thousand unique styles, I always suggest everyone to buy classic pieces. Investing in a classic piece would mean, you get yourself a style that is not leaving the fashion place for a long time, and you end up saving a lot of money in the long run; probably that’s why we call such fashion “timeless”.

What all to invest in?

1. Get A Crisp White Shirt: If you ask me, a white shirt is one of the most versatile pieces in a man’s wardrobe. Depending on what you pair it with, it’s purpose changes, from corporate to formal gathering. You can also go for other basic colors like black, light blue and grey.

2. Tailored Blazers: Like I said earlier, it’s always better to invest in classic pieces than spend your hard earned money on styles that promise no guarantee to last. Blazers in shades of grey and black go well with almost any color of shirt.

3. Formal Shoes: Pick up a pair of finely tailored Oxford cut formal shoes, and you will never repent your buy.

In addition to these classic pieces, you can also buy a pair of semi-formal denims (without any tear and wear, save those for your wild boy’s night outs) and formal trousers to complete the look. Leave the tie behind and pick up a pair of dark colored wayfarers to look one step closer to Arjun Rampal.
Go and grab some amazing deals on Men’s clothing and get yourself and your wardrobe an update on style!!!

Till then stay tuned for more!
