7 most SURPRISING fashion trends you probably didn't know about!!

I know that I’m not the most fashionable person to ever walk the face of the Earth, but lately I’m seeing a lot of surprising fashion trends. Some things I would have never thought would be cool are either coming back or coming into the lime light for the first time. These are the 7 most surprising fashion trends you probably didn’t know about either!

1. SEE THROUGH PLASTIC PURSES
That’s right, designers everywhere are starting to put out see through plastic purses and people are buying them up! A few of them are actually kind of cute but my biggest question about these purses is: where do you hide your tampons from prying eyes when everyone can see into your purse?
2. TEAL EYELINER
I personally think teal eyeliner is pretty cool. It makes your eyes pop and it draws a lot of attention! I’ve actually started to use teal and bronze together and it looks really cool! I think that this is a perfect way to change up your makeup for the summertime without having to do too much. And, it’s a perfect daytime beachy color when you want to look casual all day under your sunhat.

3. 3D PRINTER ACCESSORIES

That’s right, 3D printers aren’t just for making guns anymore. Now you can use them to print up your own necklaces, rings, and even one of those see through plastic purses. But, if you have enough money to buy a 3D printer (a pretty high ticket item) I think you can probably afford to buy your own accessories, pre-made and everything. But, this does take making your own jewelry to a whole new level.
4. TEXTURED NAIL POLISH
This is also a pretty cool trend but I’m a little bit on the fence about it. On one hand, I grew up thinking anything on your nails that wasn’t smooth was an imperfection. On the other hand, fuzzy nails are so cool, I just want to keep painting my nails that way. Glitter nails are a thing of the past now
5. JEAN VESTS
Yes, jean vests. Kind of like denim jackets with the sleeves removed. People are wearing them with floral skirts and oversized tees, maxi dresses, mini dresses, everything under the sun. I think they can be very cute when worn right but I still feel a little bit like a Levi cowboy when I wear them with jean shorts. If you try this one out be very careful not to overdo the denim!
6. BRIGHT, CLEAN LINED SATCHELS
Tiny clutch purses are out and crisp, clean satchels in bright colors are in. I LOVE this trend! I need a bag with a little more heft that can hold more than just a breath mint. I love how summery these look and that I can use them with anything from a work outfit to a bikini cover on the beach. I am so excited that slouchy big bags are out! (Who can really find anything in the million folds that those bags seem to have?:)
7. MENSWEAR FOR WOMEN
The boyfriend look is back in! That’s very exciting to me since I love the look of rolled boyfriend cut jeans with over sized tees! It’s so cute without looking sloppy. But now, we’re adding vests and trousers to our menswear for women repertoire.
Well ladies these were the fashion trends that surprised me. What trends do you find surprising? Let me know down below!

FACT OF THE DAY!

Unworn clothes
Consumers in the United Kingdom have an estimated £30 billion, or $46.7 billion, worth of unworn clothes lingering in their closets. Just think of the tax write-offs you could get if you did a little closet digging!

How to wear strapless like a PRO!

Ask a woman/girl about her comfort level with strapless dresses or tops and nine out of ten times, she would rather go for something with straps for an occasion, be it wedding or clubbing. And, can we really blame them? Those sans-strap enviable pieces of sheer beauty are a *itch to most of us. However, this season the ramps were ruled by strapless dresses. Take a look!!!

So, how do we make them our closet’s BFF‘s? Do they pass the Versatility Test for us? Can we dare add these to our closet this season. We say, yes! Yes, with a few things to keep in mind. Here’s how:

· If you have skipped the gym for a while, you should skip the idea of wearing a strapless number. You gotcha sweat out crazy to deserve to wear a strapless without attracting heart pinching comments. Defined collar bones – Thumbs Up!

· Wearing the right undergarment is of utmost importance. You will need more than just good support beneath your dress (we don’t want any spilling). Buy a pair of long-line strapless bra, they provide more support while giving proper shape to your body.

· Perfect Fit is the key! Too tight or too loose can be a deal-breaker. While trial, ensure by sitting down that the stitches near the waistline do not make the fit too tight. You don’t want to carry horizontal creases across your tummy for the rest of the evening.

· Since in a strapless dress, the neck, shoulder, back and hands are bare, there’s a huge opportunity for accessorizing. Go experimental! However, I prefer the strapless dresses without any chunky OTT jewellery. It’s more sexy that way.

· When it comes to reaching for your shoes, remember to reach for heels, EVERYTIME. They help to keep your posture correct. Go for sling backs, peep toes, stilletoes!

That’s all for now! Hope I was able to take you atleast one step further on your way to saying
Yes to a Strapless dress!!

Stay Stylish!

How to wear Scarfs this SUMMER!!

As in my previous post about the DU Campus Trend Check! I had told you about how kheffiyehs are out and scarfs are IN..!
So,here i'm back again to guide you how to wear these Sacrfs this Summer!

Trendy cold season style, like your favorite scarf, shouldn’t be left hanging for months on end waiting for old man winter to swing by. Scarves are one winter accessory that can be worn virtually any season. Knowing just how to do it changes it all, of course. REMEMBER!!! Summer apparels are meant to be breezy, bright and cheerful, so considering these key words should give you the ultimate scarf to rock this summer. For more cool ideas on how to wear scarves during summer, check out the recommendations below!!

· Don’t sweat the big stuff—you’ll want your scarf thin for better freshening. So, The lighter, the better.

· Pay attention to the fabric. Cotton, for example, is an affordable cool fabric. Linens are also relatively cheap and the loose weaves allow your skin to breath. Want a more luxurious touch? Go for silk scarves, which are elegant and soft, but sometimes quite pricey. J

· Certain colors bring out the fullness of SUMMER!!And the right combinations can make those shiny days last. Bright colors like orange and yellow are radiant and perky; while teal, emerald green and turquoise are very in this season.
· And trust me Try Neon colors..!It really works and don’t worry about all the attention that you’ll cover! J
· Patterned scarves are timeless. A great oldie that hasn’t died off is the ol’ polka dot—simple, fun and diverse enough to impress granny. Tropical designs can be stylish too. A bonus is that you don’t need to be stick-thin to wear big, bold scarves—quite the contrary. Printed designs will turn eyes to your scarf rather than your silhouette.
· Take into account the numerous styles scarves come in. Whether they’re knitted, woven, glittered or crocheted, don’t feel reduced to only wearing plain old boring scarves. In fact, a texturized scarf can update your whole look in seconds, leaving your hair ,make up or sheos to second place. J
· Think outside the neck. Scarves can be used to cover bathing suits, as a belt or even as an accessory for your bag. If you’re still set on wearing it around your neck, then look for smart ways of tying a fancy knot—like a shoulder buster tie, resembling a sailor’s neckerchief, which is a much simpler way of showing off your scarf.

· Headscarves have been popular for as long as we can remember. These alone canbeatoff the "bad hair day" or give you a classic look taken right from Italian fashion runways. However, if you try to recreate it, always choose a medium-sized fancy-fabric scarf. Although it sounds complicated, a cheaply-made scarf can mess up your overall look.
Talking about hairstyles, take a cue from these new trendy braid bars (yep—there’s such a thing) where they will braid a fine scarf into your hair, getting a unique yet polished look. But don’t spend your hard-earned bucks on them—instead, watch YouTube tutorial. With some practice, it will get easier every time.
TRUST ME!
By the time try this!

BECAUSE Bow Ties allows you to time travel!!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Ok so you've probably heard that bow ties are in fashion, and you're like a lot of guys, you don't know how to make them work for you..!

A lot of men, in general, are very reluctant to demonstrate the bow tie kind of codified flamboyance, Exactly why I feel that it takes a lot of character to pull off this retro piece of neckwear. Well consider yourself lucky because will show you how is the bow-tie fashion done!

Bow ties are essentially a classic look that can be formal, conservative or completely edgy. It entirely depends on how you choose to wear it.What you pair it with it is as important as the one you choose. So slip on a well fitted suit and crisp shirt and wear the sexy accessory around your neck! Oh and yes don't forget your swagger!

For formal occasions, when one is wearing a dinner jacket or tuxedo, traditional black or white is probably best. Otherwise, as with most choices in life, I would suggest going with whatever makes you feel good.

Subsets of the traditional tie, such as tiepins, pocket squares, cuff links are all safer mundane choices that need a break especially in the city I live in!
The good news is that the humble bow tie is clearly emerging as the front runner in the ever-changing fashion movement.

And be it guys or girls...! It looks awesome and classy on both! ;)
Just have a look!

Tying a Bow-Tie
Tying a bow tie is no rocket science. Think of it like a shoelace. If in doubt, there are a whole lot of videos on
YouTube that offer tutorials to tie them right.

Essential Tips
1. Go for a simple point collar.
2. The suit or the tuxedo should fit hug your natural shoulder shape.
3. Ensure you reveal your shirt cuffs from your suit a quarter inch or half inch

4. Go in for trousers that donot have cuffs on the leg. You should look smarty pants after all
5. For single breasted suits, 2 buttons are clean and look stylish!

LOOK of the Day!

BLUE is Fashion this year!! Black and blue and a little pop of color around the eyes.

I love this look for Spring because it brings in just enough color to get excited for warmer weather but with the long sleeves and black, it has not let go of winter completely. Put together with some great sandals, this is an incredibly easy look to wear during the day without feeling like you are still in the "same old" jeans.

LOOK of the Day!

The thought of wearing the same color but in different shades has always been appealing to me.Try to stick to wearing subtle colors so that You don't end up looking like a rainbow. This trend is my favorite of the season So let’s give it a shot!
To create a monochromatic look, try playing with different textures. It's always more interesting when you have different materials incorporated in your outfit.
